Structural and air resonances split when coupled

Move the coupling strength toward zero, then increase it. Compare the crossing uncoupled branches with the separated eigenvalues of the coupled pair.

—

Turn the coupling to zero and the solid lines drop onto the dashed ones. Any coupling at all, and they split apart at the meeting point.

Model scope. A live two-by-two coupled system illustrates avoided crossing and mixed mode character. It explains reduced coupling without claiming a resolved fluid–structure interface or a measured guitar-body response.
