Turn "high-mode decay" to zero and it sounds like a synthesiser. Turn it up and it becomes a struck object. Same modes, only the decay rates changed.
Model scope. Audio is synthesized on request from the discrete-string modal ratios and damped sinusoids. The demo rescales the fundamental and uses illustrative amplitudes; it does not solve a new physical geometry when those sliders move.
